I was contacted by a Citi Bank/Home Depot CS Rep in August of 2014. The CS Rep informed me that I need to pay my account in full because it was past due. I asked the CS Rep how much do I owe you? She stated $64.00. I then told her that I would pay the full amount which included a $35.00 late fee.
After several months have passed I was contacted by phone from the Home depot/Citi Bank CS department. I was told that I now owe $110.00. I asked the CS Rep from what purchases did I owe this amount? She stated that I owe late payments for 3 months. I told her that I should not have to pay this amount because I paid off the card in August of 2014. We were talking several minutes and not moving forward and I asked to speak with someone that's capable of waiving my over charges.
I was on hold for several minutes then a person named Danny ID#0014591 talked with me. I asked Danny was it okay if I tape this coversation for my records and proof that I'm making my final payment to Home Depot. He agreeded and proceeded with his ID number and we discussed the matter for several minutes.
After talking with Danny I was told that he could only wave $35.00 from my payment. I argued with Danny and informed him that I would report this abuse to a consumer report website. He was not moved by my actions nor was he apologetic. I then told Danny that I would never again shop at Home Depot and I would inform all of my friends and family members how I was treated.
In July of 2009 I purchased a 18 volt impact driver combo kit I opened it, and charged it took it to work used the impact 2 or 3 hour's and it burned up, took to the store with reicpt and would not exchange, or refund on the second day after purchase gave me a 800# to get repaired called and was a month out, and needed to ship them the whole set for a month and a half this leave's me without tool's. So I used drill driver about 6mth's now the batterie's are dead and they will not replace the batterie's gotta love those lifetime warrantie's. Bought a Makita 14.4 Impact 1 yr warranty 6 yrs before I had to replace the batterie's Makita all the way. Will never buy another Rigid paper wieght again!!
