Through the Goodwill of my credit card issuer, I slipped out of the quicksand they made. You may not be so lucky. Why? HA made a paperwork mistake. Read carefully, your contract may be the only thing you get to see.
Be patient, it took themrwo months to reply to the bank, six weeks for their time share "buyer" to communicste with us.
My battle is won. Please, for your sake, avoid them and you'll have no reason to start your own.
We have a complaint about Holiday Adventures and Coconut Club Vacations.
We found out after much misdirection for Coconut Club Vacations that the actual address for Holiday Adventures is:
1033 S Poplar
Surfside Beach, SC 29575
The telephone number I have for Holiday Adventures is the same 843-212-6822
The telephone number I have for Coconut Club Vacations is 877-309-3048
We received a postcard that appeared to be related to Southwest Airlines offering free roundtrip airline tickets. We attended a meeting at Hilton Doubletree Hotel on College Boulevard in Overland Park on 11/29/2014, heard a similar pitch of discounted vacations, including hotels and airfares and signed up paying $3,995.00 by Commerce Bank Visa card. With the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, we didn’t have an opportunity to use the membership until early January 2015. We discovered that we could make the same reservations ourselves, with the same airlines and staying at the same hotels, at 1/3 of the cost quoted by Coconut Club Vacations. This was when we began our efforts to cancel and obtain a refund.
I did reach a “Denise” at Holiday Adventures and was told I needed to speak to “Adam” and she would have him call me. After multiple calls to Holiday Adventures and messages left, I have yet to hear from “Adam”.
I spoke with “Erika” at Coconut Club Vacations and was told that Holiday Adventures was a distributor and Coconut Club had no control over them. But Erika said she had just talked with Adam and would have him call me. Again – no call from him.
I disputed the transaction with Commerce Bank, but after sending them all my documentation I received a letter from Commerce Bank, stating that they would not reverse the transaction/refund my funds to my credit card.
I did send a certified letter with delivery receipt to Holiday Adventures requesting cancellation and refund due to nonperformance in February 2015, but have received no response.
I have performed research on Holiday Adventures and found a lawsuit filed by American Airlines (cause No. 15326856013) against Travel Myles, which used the same address in SC, that perfectly describes the fraudulent activity of Holiday Adventures and Coconut Club Vacations.
I also located a “Denise”listed at 1033 S. Poplar Drive in Surfside Beach, SC – but I never received a last name on my voicemails and phone calls with Denise.
