Rude lack of customer service defiantly will not do business with this company again. Having purchased a Medeco high security lock from these so called professionals I called in to discuss the fact my lock had been tampered with to get advice. What does the Owner of the business do when I try to find solutions for the issue the guy rudely hangs up the phone. I called back thinking that it could have been an accidental loss of connectivity the guy wouldn’t come to the phone.
Now doing some research I find out from the BBB website that Hill Street Lock and Key no longer has an active contractor’s license as per State of California contractor website see link below https://www2.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/MobileLicenseCheck/LicenseDetail.aspx?LicNum=803089 Issue Date01/15/2002Expire Date01/31/2004License StatusThis license is expired and not able to contract at this time.Classifications * C28 - LOCK AND SECURITY EQUIPMENT* C28 - Lock and Security Equipment Contractor * California Code of Regulations
Now it could be that they do not need contractor’s license to conduct business in the lock and key security industry or they may have another dba that does have a valid contractor’s license to do business. Not having a contractor license doesn’t mean that they aren’t a good business. I was going to purchase many different products from this company but have now changed my mind due to their rude nature.
