I received some information from my neighbor next door who's mother owns a muffler shop in the city I reside in. The website is car-parts.com and they use it almost daily. Approximately three to four weeks ago I was involved in a minor accident where my vehicle struck the back of a pickup and essentially made me have to purchase a new headlight assembly. I own an 07 Infiniti G35. Upon shopping on said website, I came across High Class Auto Parts. I spoke with "Peter". I stated to him my vehicle has special adaptive front headlight lighting systems where the xenon bulb actually turns with the car through a corner to better illuminate the road at night. He stated to me he had the headlight system in stock "with afs" which signifies that it did indeed have the special adaptive lights.
He stated he had it priced at $500 but could sell it to me for $400. I told him I needed it overnighted because I was going on vacation and obviously could not drive without a headlight assembly, seeing as how I am affiliated with law enforcement for Virginia, know the laws and work at the Western Virginia Regional Jail as a certified Jailor. I received the headlight as promised the next day. Upon Lifetime Mufflers installing said item for me as I am not too mechanically inclined they informed me and called me on numerous occasions that I had been lied to and that the item was not even close to being to reality as what they had stated.
The headlight did not have the necessary components needed for the adaptive lights and was also missing a headlignt bulb to initiate the high beams. The low beam xenon bulb was also dim, even though they stated to me the entire headlight assembly was in "mint conditon" as they described it to me. Due to no bulb in the high beam that cost me an additional $100 even though they stated to me via phone that all bulbs were tested and everything was functioning in pristine order. In conclusion, I was completely scammed and ripped off by this shady company who when I attempted to call to voice my displeasure and inform them of the findings they repeatedly hung the phone up on me. I am hoping that this can come to some sort of resolution otherwise I may have to revert to hiring a lawyer to further investigate this unfortunate incident.
