I purchased a house that had a 10 year warranty on the AC unit through Hermitage Heating And Air. After moving in I noticed that the AC unit in the basement started to get water around it. I called the company and left a message and never heard back from anyone. I called them again and when I called I told Nicole I purchased a home with a AC unit your company had installled and I believed it had a 10 year warranty and it has water around the unit in the basement. Her response was let me get someone out there this afternoon, that's all she said.
After the guy came out he told me that my drain was clogged and all he had to do was blow it out and at the end he brought me a bill for $100 (they also billed me $25 for nitrogen that I'm sure I didn't need). I told him I wish I was told that it would be a $75 service charge because I would have taken my business elsewhere. I didn't like the fact that they were not up front about charges. I called back to complain and everyone at the office was beyond rude, not one time did anyone apoligize for the misunderstanding all they wanted to do was argue and talk over you. They told me that it was a "parts only warranty". If I had known that they would have not come out in the first place. So a word of advice stay away from these people and if you are gonna deal with them I would not waste my time getting the warranty. There are plenty of good, honest and up front AC companies in the area try Superior Heating and Air or Bradley Heating and Air they do a great job, I would have called them in a a second if I was told about the price up front.
