Henry and wales delivered a king size bed and assembled it in my bedroom. The night I laid on it the mattress and platform collapsed. I called Cole that night to fix the bed. He came and repaired the bed with longer screws that support the platform. The slats that remained were still too weak to support the mattress. The bed flexed and moved around and squeaked when sleeping on the bed. I knew that it was just a matter of time before the bed would collapse again. So I took it upon myself to strengthen the frame of the bed with vertically placed 2x4, supports for 2 x 4, thick MDF wood for the platform. The additional hardware and wood cost me about $200 to restructure the bed. The wood that the bed was constructed with was just lumber from Home Depot admittedly. Not reclaimed wood as Cole McKinney had advertised. The joints were held together by screws in the joints and corners of the bedframe were not joined properly.
Only held together by screws. Pieces of the bed fall off from time to time due to poor craftsmanship. It appears that the bed was constructed first and then the stain applied after construction. Overall just a very poor piece of furniture that was constructed seemingly by a 10-year-old.
