Heather had to reschedule our first meeting but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. This indicated a red flag to this company’s punctuality. At our first meeting I was told that I would not have Heather as a trainer, but Chelie instead. I informed Heather I wanted to do cross fit training while using my weights. She promised that Chelie would be able to train me.
I had two sessions with Chelie which she had to reschedule. My first two sessions were basic floor exercises similar to exercise videos on YouTube. This is not what I intended to pay for. I hoped we were simply warming up to eventually do cross fit which never occurred. On my final session, I informed Chelie that I wanted to train in cross fit. Chelie, alleged that cross fit “injuries people, and they stopped because of injuries…” If I knew this was her philosophy from the start, I never would have hired her. Chelie cancelled our scheduled session hours before via text. Chelie would arrive late and leave on time to get to her next appointment. For the duration, Chelie would be giggling at me or looking on her phone.
This is where it gets chaotic… I text Heather saying I will stop training. Heather, charged my credit card $90 for two weeks in advance. I explain to Heather she’s obligated to refund my card since I will discontinue training. Heather, argues I need to give a two week notice before quitting training. She did not inform me of this policy nor did I sign a contract with this company. I inform Heather about Chelie’s last minute cancellation. Heather, reverses her charge but doesn’t know how to do a partial refund on Square (card processor) and charges my card an additional $90 then eventually refunds $180. This took about 1 week to get straightened; she even sent a rude text message.
I’ve decided to dispute my last two sessions with my credit card co. due to dissatisfaction regarding not being able to cross fit.
Heather, sent me this threatening/dishonest text message:
“I have no problem fighting your $90 dispute as I have proof that you were refunded $180 , but still were responsible for training for $90. If I see more slander coming from you, I will contact my lawyer. I also spoke with the people from thumbtack and they know you are not telling the truth . I can get letters from them to support that as well.”
I write thumbtack regarding my alleged dishonesty.
Thumbtack’s reply:
We didn't make any determination of lying or not lying. We heard each side and made sure that you were refunded the $180, which you confirmed. We have not had additional contact with her and would not provide her with any letters indicating you have lied. That is not our place to say. Thank you, Ashley the Thumbtack Support Team.
Heather’s-threatening, rude, volatile, text should speak for itself… Incompetent and unprofessional is an understatement. It pains me to write this review but future customers must be warned.
