Hi I am a client here at Halfway There - Real Life Recovery. I have been here for 31 days now and I can honestly say out of all of the treatment facilities I have been to this one is the least professional one. We have groups 3 hours a day and the groups do not teach us any life skills or help us deal with our trama. The facilitators would rather put clients down for everything they say and play games most of the time. There really is NO actual recovery at Real Life. Halfway There is located across the street from a dope dealing neighborhood. I'm sure for good reason.
Its a revolving door, people come in and they go right back out multiple times. They aren't offered proper detox they just go right into their php program sick as a dog and many times iop and php will be in the same building and iop (intensive out patient) will see the php clients laying on the couch very sick. I just found out they are shutting Down the Halfway There block and giving people the option to either go into transitional living at the Hamptons locations or find somewhere else to go.
Why?? So you can charge my insurance even more money?? No! I think I will go somewhere else. Point blank, they don't care about their clients. They look at them as all dollar signs. This is BY FAR the worst place I have been to for recovery. I came here to get more stability in my life. Not get thrown out for nothing I did wrong after a month of being here and them charging my insurance company 10 grand a week!! Don't ever send yourself or your loved one here. Ever!
