I took my truck in for a checkup and an oil leak was found. My veh needed the oil pan gasket and both valve cover gaskets replaced. This was done June 11th, 2013. I noticed less then a year later my veh was leaking oil again. I called and got my veh in June 17th 2014. I was advised the oil pan and valve cover gaskets were leaking again. They also advised that since I drove 28,000 miles in a year they were not going to cover this repair.
They were paid $682.80 for this repair from my extended warranty, and within a year it is leaking again. I had to pay $100 dollar deductable I do not believe they repaired my Vehicle correctly. These gaskets last a long time and do not go bad in 1 yr. I guess accroding to Gurley Leep, they will not correct this problem. the way it looks to me, if you get service work done with them, in a year that work will need redone. That is what i understand from their statement they will not fix my veh. I have never owned a veh or known anyone else that has needed their oil pan and valve cover gaskets replaced yearly.
I feel they need to redo this repair correctly, clearly the tech was incompetent that did the original repair.
