Last year I purchased a DVD from Guitar Control. Unknown to me they signed me up for Guitar God Membership for 19.95 per month. The first month was free, after that they just start charging. They claim the sent me an email immediately after the purchase but if they did I did not see it and now assume it came as an order confirmation which I like most don't read. That was the extent of their notification. I see this as a deceptive practice. I contacted their customer service who stopped further payments but refused to give me a refund.
Searching on line I found the same has happened to others. I would like to set up a class action suit but don't know how.
I paid for Claude Johnson's education Guitar DVD's and have never recieved them. He will not answer my emails yet keeps sending me more promotion emails ad nausium. He has also deducted AU$21.99 in September and AU$23.61 in October 2014 from my credit card without my authorisation for no service. John
I ordered the Pro Saxaphone 3 DVDsupposed to give little known tips and secrets to sax musicians. When i received and watched it, I saw that it was not usable for experienced players and was not at all what I expected. It was billed on my credit card. I send it back by UPS and got confirmation that it got delivered. This is now almost 2 month ago and I have called them twice on the # they gave to the credit card company 1 888 687-4216 never get an answer and just left 2 messages. This company is totally unreliable and the person I ordered it from is not the company doing the billing. My advice Stay away from noth.
I had purchased 2 sets of these lessons paying nearly $170.00 in total price.. The dvd cases hold up to 8 discs each but are made very cheap and arrived in a plastic envelope busted all to hell..
On every page, Claude Johnson offers a full refund for up to 365 days over and over again stating that there is no risk on the buyer`s part no matter what the issue is.. Even though there is a phone# 1-888-687-4216 for Customer Service, it is nothing more than a dead line.. I have not been able to find an email address and when trying to go through one of the many websites of his in order to find out contact information, they all lead back to the phone# above which takes you nowhere..
In my opinon he is a complete scam artist from Wayne, Pa. and is now shipping these dvd`s from Traverse City, MI.
Claude Johnson also offers you a 30 day trial to new members (1 lesson a day) to make you think that he is going to teach you even more but it basically comes down to having you buy more dvd`s not only from him but from many other people as well..
Be aware for a BIG let down in not being able to get any refund or help if you purchase these dvd`s..
I did a google search for guitar lesson Dvd's, and came across guitarcontrol.com. I gave it a try because the site claims they will give you a 365 day money back guarantee if the dvd's don't do anything for you. I opened the guitar control dvd and watched the first lesson and off the bat there was no knowledge to gain from this lesson. Point blank he plays guitar but he is ABSOLUTELY the WOOORST music teacher! The Dvd has no diagram or markings to show you what he is actually doing with the fret board. I emailed the company waited 4 days "when they said only 2-3 days" and got no response, i attempted a phone call and left a voicemail still no response, its been a week and a half now no response BUT, i'm still getting newsletters from this BOGUS Claud Johnson! Wooow.

This all started in December of 2012. I received an E-mail from guitarcontrol.com about there latest big deal.
Guitar control big package 14 dvd's in 2 disc set's, all with a 100 % money back guarantee, for $149.00.
On december 6, 2012 I ordered guitar control big package, the first set arrived damaged beond use. I was told;
throw them away, a new set would be shipped . The second set of discs arrived damaged . Again I was told;
throw them away, a new set would be shipped. On the third try, they arrived in usable state, on 12-26-2012.
After examining the dvds and watching them, over and over I just could not get exited about this product anymore.
I tried to contact guitar control help.com, 3 e-mails and 3 phone calls later, no one had bothered to contact me.
So I returned the dvd's according to the instructions on the shipping invoice. I allso sent my request snail mail.
All I received back was a F*** You letter. I can not quote the guitar control guarantee here, copy rites.
but i can say this there is no time limit on the guitar control guarantee.
