I am writing this rip off report because I think the public should use caution while interacting in any type of business dealings with the people mentioned above. I became involved in a partnership agreement with them as a consultant, project coordinator and managing parnter of the daily operations. I worked for 4 months day and night to rennovate the restaurant, Baba's Kitchen in Troy, MI, formerly known as Shish Kabob Express. However I may add that they are NOT affiliated with the other Shish Kabob Express locations as they are all individually owned and operated. I was approached by Dirar, Loae and Wayel in September of 2013 when they explained to me that the business that they had purchased 6 months prior was desperately failing due to their lack of knowledge in the industry and ability to develop a profitable business that functioned properly. They also fabricated a story in which they were defrauded by the person that sold them the business. This is not true by any means. I was fooled by it until I saw the purchase agreement. Ask for all documentation to back up their words before trusting ANYTHING that they say.
I spent 4 months reconstructing their business and as soon as I reopened the restaurant, Loae did everything that he could to force me out of the picture after I had spent a tremedous amount of time and effort to totally gutt the place out and provide a structure for the business that they did not have before. I was promised a partnership, I was promised to get paid for my efforts and when my work was almost done, they made it impossible for me to continue the project and when it came time to meet so we could discuss how I would get paid for my efforts, they blocked me from messaging them and would not answer or return my calls.
I was the only person besides Loae out of the other three partners that arranged, managed and provided physical labor to change the asthetics of the restaurant. I am a woman and they took advantage of me to do physical labor that was extremely difficult, which they did not want to pay contractors to do which caused injuries. They were aware of this and did not offer to provide medical assistance to me during that time. Loae does not speak English and he was not able to follow simple directions so I was left with all of the responsibility on my own. Loae will make you feel sorry for him because he does not speak English and does not understand the American culture, this is just an excuse to avoid doing any type of work. He will put as much responsibility onto anyone else that is willing to take it before doing things for himself. I watched as Loae acted in an unethical way, failing to act as a law obiding green card holder (he is not a citizen so I used the correct term to describe his legal status). I refused to continue to work with him with this behavior and I was promised to be paid for my efforts by Dirar after we had exhausted every avenue to recify the situation and get Loae on the same page as the rest of us. Then - all of the sudden, Dirar disapeared.
DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. They useD their faith in God or ""Allah"" to manipulate me and presented themselves as God fearing individuals who do the right thing and act in an ethical manner. This is NOT TRUE. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEM, ITS ALL A LIE. I felt terrible for them because they convinced me that they were trying to rebuild their lives after being forced to leave Syria because of the distruction of their country. They played on my emotions, good hearted and spirtitual nature and often used words such as ""good faith"", ""Allah will reward us"" with me every time I met with Dirar to get me to do what they wanted me to do, only so they could dispose of me and take their newly renovated restaurant and exclude me from the picture. I obviously was not aware of their intentions until it was too late.
They will use their supposedly unfortunate situation to lure you in and then they will take advantage of you, please dont let the same thing happen to you that happened to me. It took me 4 months to figure it out, but every person that they have ever came into contact with, they have used and then blamed for their misfortune. This is their tactic - do not be fooled by it. They will blame the person that came before you for all of their problems and use that as the reason their business is failing, they will convince you that they are the victim in the situation. This is a lie. As soon as it comes time to pay, they start saying that the person never did anything for them or wronged them in some way. Their business is failing because they dont know how to run it and have created a terrible reputaiton for themselves. Do not be fooled, it is no one elses fault besides their own, they just wont admit to it.
Dont be used, lied to and cheated by these people. They will also tell you that they are wealthy from their other company named MIDAD INKS in SYRIA, which also has a location in Jordan, where Wayel resides. They will make promises to you based off of their supposed reputation from that business. Do not believe them. They will take everything they can from you while trying to be your friend and you will find yourself in a mess of problems (mostly their problems, these people have a lot of problems). There are other people involved that had gone out of their way to help them because they were ""going through a tough time"" then they turned their back on them. Please dont let your spirit be crushed by these people, they are story tellers and are not a man of their word. You cannot believe a word they say. DO NOT DO ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS WITH THEM ON GOOD FAITH. Their word means nothing and now I have to fight to get what was promised to me. Thankfully I have everything I need to pursue this and I will fight for however long that it takes to get what I deserve. It was an absolute shame what they did to me and I now have to fight them in court to get paid. This has caused a tremendous amount of stress for me and they have bruised my reputation in the local area. I encurred many damages by being involved with these people. They do not conduct themselves in a professional or ethical way, so do not expect that from them no matter what they tell you. I hope to God I never encounter people like this again. It has been the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my life so far. Don't let it be the worst thing that happens to you. My damages are currently between 20k-50k USD.
