Green Heat "workers" make cold calls, implying they've "serviced" your air ducts before and it's "time for a cleaning". They offer a $29 cleaning ... but when they arrive, it mushrooms to $1500 or more for all the extra, bogus, appliances and "cleaning" you need.
Do not fall for this. They prey on elderly, my father was a victim, but luckily I found out within a day of their "service" and immediately stopped the check. I have filed complaints with th San Francisco District Attorney's office and with the California State Licensing Contractor's Board. The state is now investigating the scam company and I encourage others here who have filed reports on this same company to do the same. They are looking for more victims.
