Alex Hudson Googlemax hired me in November 2014 to offer SEO and related services to clients nationwids. He offered to pay me a commission, plus a monthly residual and even an override on anyone I brought to the company and/or was assigned to my 'team'.
I quickly brought to Googlemax a very close personal friend and his partners to Googlemax to provide SEO services on a Regional campaign, with specific target cities and specific 'key words' to be used. This agreement also included both a start date, and a 90-day 100% money-back-guarantee.
Googlemax also charged an additional fee to 'rebuild' the company website in addition to charging them a monthly fee. To date, the promise to get the company website to 1st page search results in the 5 cities listed has failed.
Equally important Googlemax has taken several months to try to 'fix' the new website and has to date not done well at all.
For example, the website shows very, very poor resolution of all product photos, the entire website is a conundrum of sorts and the process customers must go through to purchase products online is a nightmare!
When and if they ever arrive at the 'paypal' portion of site, they cannot pay for the products! And the company has had to EAT THE SHIPPING COSTS EVERY TIME because since Googlemax took over the website several months ago they never set up the proper E-COMMERCE program to facilitate this very basic process of auto-calculation of shipping costs per customer.
Alex Hudson for several weeks accused PayPal of being to blame for both of these issues, and finally I personally went to meet the owners at their office where we spent their lunch hour on the phone with PayPal....only to learn that Alex Hudson was LYING!
I called Alex Hudson, from the company office, in front of the owners, and explained to Alex what PayPal troubleshooting and support team has explainded to us all within past 30-40 minutes on the phone, and he agreed to fix the Payment part of Paypal but still denied responsibility for the problem of shipping costs dissappearing and when I reminded him of what PayPal just said, only then did he even agree to look into it!
Since then, I have resorted to only communicating with him via email, as he is not a man of his word! He refused to put anything in writing to respond to any complaints about the website my clients paid over $4,500.00 for since Novermber 2014, and instead sent a highly charged email to my client/friends falsly accusing me on several levels, and twisting words I have spoken in the past to cause my friends to question everything about me!
Alex Hudson promised to deliver many things, and did very few, choosing instead to change his promise! Literally he would say something and within less than one minute contradict what he just said! He is a walking and talking contradiction of himself!
When I reminded him I had recorded calls with him for past several weeks it was to give him a chance to 'come clean' but instead the next Monday sent an email accusing me of saying many negative and nasty things about my friends character, and in addition stated he records all phone calls as a matter of policy with Googlmax!
This guy is dangerous! Beware of doing business with him! He is a waste of time, and for sure a WASTE OF YOUR MONEY if you hire him!
He runs adds on Craigslist trying to find anybody who will the same/next day just start calling people and trying to sell them SEO....with ZERO training and no background in this field!
He changed the 'script' we used weekly, sometimes daily! Then argues at nauseum as to whether it is a SCRIPT! claiming Googlemax does not use 'scripts' oh no...they have 'conversations' and Alex Hudson just 'makes modifications to the conversations' but never has, never will, use a script!
I did everything possible to encourage others to follow along, but 99% of those who came and looked at the opportunity left almost immediately! And in over 5 months the only sales I ever saw for sure made were the few I did myself! Alex Hudson claims to be a real smart guy, and yet he is virtually invisible online.
Alex Hudson instructed me to take checks that were made to Googlemax (from my clients) to a Chase Bank, and to deposit them into another account which his wife told me NOT to tell them her last name of Hudson, but use another name. I did not think too much about it the first time, even though the teller seemed concerned and said the company was not Googlemax but Max Trade and Repair.
A short time late I had another check from another client and went to another Chase Bank to deposit, and when I told them the account number, it did not match, so I called Monique Hudson (McClintock?) and she instructed me to not tell them Hudson (again) and the teller tried several different phone numbers before locating this account. However this time the teller seriously questioned why I was putting a check made out to Googlemax into an account under a different name and who's business name Max Trade and Repair showed it was 'out of business'! I told them I was only doing what I was told to do by Alex Hudson and his wife.
When I called Alex and told hime about the banking concerns he said "oh, we are working on getting that taken care of" and that was the end of it. Until I put in a third check, and after that I refused to pick up checks any more because I did not feel comfortable with the whole thing.
So, in closing I will strongly recomment you look before you leap! and look for a company that is REPUTABLE, has transparency and is BBB Rated and Accredited!
Alex Husdon uses others as a Smoke-Screen, as Window-Dressing, to lure other good people into the mess called Googlemax. I have documents to prove everything I state here, including copies of the deposits I made at Chase Bank, my clients original agreements/proposals and detailed records and much, much more.
BEWARE OF Alex Hudson and Googlemax! Using good honest people to take advantage of other good honest people is low, low, low.
Ask yourself this: Looking at his 'portfolio' does it seem a bit weak given the statement he teaches everyone to say "Googlemax has worked directly with Google for over 14-14 years"?
Think about that and then look at the logo he STOLE from another local, BBB Accredited, A Rated, well respected SEO, online marketing company who actually have a real 'portfolio' with many satisfied clients!
I think that is what they call THEFT!
PS....if you go to work for him, and your client is unsatisfied be careful. Alex Hudson might do to you the same thing he did to me. Go directly to your client and call you a liar, and accuse you of fashioning false documents. And tell your client that Googlemax never saw the original 'bogus' contract/agreement before!
