I have been tying to communicate my dispute to Google Adwords for quite some time. They can only be reached by email. A representative “Derek” is the only person that I have been able to talk with and is not interested in any of my claims. They will not let me talk with a supervisor and will not give out last names.
The individual I dealt with back in June of 2013 was a gentleman named Travis Stanfield and will not put me in contact with him.
As I stated after I spoke with Mr. Stanfield in June that I was not satisfied with the ad campaign with no results that I wanted to cancel. He told me that it was no problem but I needed to pay a $191.40 balance, which I did with the new credit card issued by Bank of America. There is a recording of thisConversation as there are recordings of all their telephone calls.
I was under the impression it was finalized however to my disbelief in December 2013 my wife made me aware of the $5500.00 in charges on my credit card that I never authorized.
With Google adwords, their representative is supposed to confer with the client about its effectiveness and monitor its usefulness to the client by optimizing the campaign. No one at Google adwords contacted me. I replied to an email to Travis Stanton June 25th about the follow-up but he did not answer me back.
Now Mr. Derek at Google is threatening me with turning me in to the credit agencies because when I found out in December I had Bank of America close the card down because I could not shut the Adwords program down and they were still taking $500.00 every two weeks. I did not know how or have any of the passwords to shut the account down and had Google send me a paper to sign to disable it. There is a balance still owed of $315.14!
They (Derek) offered me a $500.00 credit toward advertising. I am a small company. This is an undue burden and I will have to default on it. I have had good credit and pay my bills on time. This will put me out of business and if my bank will not help me I will have to close down.
I learned a valuable lesson that people that don’t understand the computers and the Internet can be taken advantage of. I don’t see any legal recourse and Google can bury you with their evasiveness. I have been with Bank of America with all my banking, loans and mortgages in good standing. This situation literally has made me sick that I have to end this way.
