I was lied to by recruiter Greg bowers. He called me after finding my resume on indeed.com. We set up phone calls and an interview on skype. He was well aware of my current employer who happened to be a client for Goodwin Hospitality. Greg told me that he would need approval from my employer to speak with me. On May 20th at 7:18am, he emailed me back saying we were "good to go" with the interview. We set up an interview on Skype on May 28th. We spoke for 40 minutes about what I was looking for from him and how a recruiter works. He said he would help me and contact me when jobs became available matching my requirements. One week later on June 2nd, I emailed him like we spoke about. He claimed I was on his list of people to call that day but he had 2 interviews to do first. I never heard back from him. A month passed so I contacted him through email on Monday, July 6th about what my next step was since he never called me back like he said he would. On Wednesday, July 8th he finally emailed back claiming that he clearly told me that he could not help me because my current employer was a client of his. At no point did he say this to me, even during our Skype interview. Greg said that he did not know who my employer was before the interview buy we spoke about my job and he clearly had my resume to see where I worked. Greg Bowers is a liar and extremely unprofessional. He wasted a month of my time (41 days to be exact) where I could have been looking for a job myself. I was totally under the impression that he was looking for jobs for me like a real job recruiter does. Several job opportunities may have passed me by but I will never know now. This man is terrible at his job and he lied to me. I saved the emails that went back and forth between us. My question is why interview me if you weren't allowed to? Why tell me I am on your list of calls if you cannot help me? Why tell me you didn't know where I worked if you had my resume and I clearly told you during the interview? I do not want anyone else to get fooled by this guy. I cannot say Goodwin Hospitality is a bad company, but I can say that Greg Bowers is a horrible recruiter who will make you wait for answers only to lie about what we spoke about.
