They are claiming that they disclose the 14 day trial period and that is probably the case if you order directly from the Global vitamaxx website which I DID NOT. I was completing an online survey and the ""ad"" for the ""free sample"" popped up. I was not redirected to the Vitamaxx website instead it only offered the free sample as one of the rewards for filling out the survey. I was never redirected to the website and it stated I was only responsible for the shipping and handling charges which were $4.95. I was outraged when not even 3 weeks later, I too had a charge to my checking account for $89.95.
Not only did they NOT disclose that I would be charged after the so called 14 days but they had no number listed under this company name when my bank advised that I call them to try to resolve the issue but they could not locate a phone listing under Global Vitamaxx. I wound up doing a 411 search of the address which produced 4 other company names to include a bicycle company and a company by the name of Global Tech. Since that sounded close enough, I gave it a shot and the female that answered the phone did in fact answer Global Vitamaxx. Huh? Suppose I had stopped at the misleading company name?
It was only until I actually went to the website that it stated that the ""free sample"" is not free. You have 14 days to try the product and cancel if dissatisfied. They also don't tell you up front that they 14 days starts when you place the order, NOT when you receive it. WTF? They promise 7-10 days regular shipping so that leaves you what, 4 days to try and determine if you like and or want to keep said product. Huge rip off. I would not recommend this company to anyone that does business this way nor would I encourage internet companies to solicit their customers to these people. I don't know what kind of business this is that doesn't have a listing under the company name but I will never order another vitamin/herbal product online ever as a result of this experience. The lady tried to offer me another bottle to resolve my issue instead of refunding my money and it's my belief that their product is not even the real thing. I don't believe it does what they claim but I wouldn't know because I only had about 5 days to try it and even a medical doctor will tell you that some products can take up to a month before you see or feel any difference but they are not concerned about your end result or satisfaction. They are only concerned about getting as many customers hard earned $89.95.
Something needs to be done about this. Clearly, my experience wasn't the only one of it's sort associated with this company. My purchase was not made from their website and there was no information in the packaging about a trial or membership. I was also told that there was an early cancellation fee but the operator that I spoke with ""waived the cancellation fee"" out of the kindness of her heart because I was so dissatified; like I was really going to agree to that after being bamboozled out of $89.95. Buyers beware of online predators.
