Global Media Advertising out of Beaverton OR, 97008 has a great set of skilled telemarketers that promise every thing you want but deleiver on very little. The call business and promise vron page ads on the Internet searches on Google and Bing. Proclaimed how much business they can generate. A big Zero. I wanted to cancel the service after I found it was not effective ... They Kept billing me after I canceled and would not prorate or credit my account to the tune of $378.00 for nothing. They turned from super positive, up beat and helpful to rude and down right dispicable. "Sorry your problem" was their attitude.
My advise is do not deal with them! But it you did, They will spend another fifteen minutes or so trying to talk you out of canceling - just keep repeating that you want to cancel. Does no good to speak to a supervisor - they're just the ones who are so good at arguing they got moved up. One year, several months of trying to contact/cancel - and $600 plus wasted.
You get so much for what you pay for, a free website, a top place spacing, and dozens of calls with out having to pay per click. Even a month of free service. Very Cool.
BUYER BEWARE! Like the rest of the reviews they use strong arm deceptive marketing tactics to get you to sign up for $19 30 day trial. Of course, you are thinking why not give it a shot? Except for when I asked the salesperson and confirmed that it was google that would be where we were placed he said yes, google. Also, the first spot on google within that key word search we had decided. I asked him to provide his phone number and email and he said they didn't allow their sales people to have email and made some reference to them getting in trouble. This was one of the red flags. However in a matter of a second he had me off to billing confirmation which I agreed to based on the above. When I received the payment confirmation there was no direct contact information and "do not reply" email it stated I paid for "bing". No I did not! I contacted their dumb 800 # to have some poor kid try to keep me as a customer and he kept having to put me on hold to get tips on how to handle me from someone with a whip behind him. The kid was so nervous he was shaking on the phone between my frustration (warranted and escalating as the call dragged out) and his supervisor. He was like a robot repeating the same thing and they would cancel me but not refund my money even though I hadn't even started anything with them. No real business that stands behind their product talks to it's customers this way. Eventually the supervisor got on and talked over me and told me she couldn't do anything and I was wasting her time! They lie on the front end to get your credit card info and then have customer service (joke of a name) tell you that you are basically "F'd". California has laws in place for things like this and your credit cards protect you from things like this too because they value your business! NEVER give your money to these deceptive people.
Compete rip-off company. Will not take "no" for an answer. Uses deceitful and manipulative sales and phone tactics. Makes cancellation of services impossible. This is the worst kind of internet piracy. Uses "trial" offers to introduce services and then makes it impossible to terminate. This company is a rip-off in the truest sense of the work. I have submitted complaints to Attornies general of California and Oregon regarding this company's bullying, internet practices.
I was contacted by this company claiming to move our search engine ranking on Bing, Yahoo, and Yelp with paid advertising.
Obviously fairly suspicious, but decided to try small campaign since our web presence was weak on these search engines. Took advantage of some ""free search terms"" as an introduction. All it took was a credit card and they proceeded to bill like clockwork. The ""paid ads"" led to a page on our website that looked like the basement, not the landing page we were promised. Found the error and complained, got credit for another month. Tried to cancel my account. Told to call back in 30 days. Find out they billed me the day I called to terminate. Called back in 30 days, they ""credit"" the account for another 21 days, still would not terminate my account or billing. Finally called credit card company to block billing.
April 3rd. I received a call from Global Media stating that they can put our web site as a premier on a Google search engine. That when someone googles a certain phrase like “Homes for sale in Rocklin” that our website would there on the page. For the first month it is under review for $20 per area. I agreed to see what I could do. Then the calls started, multiple times a day, being asked if we would like to have our website listed with Google / Yahoo as a premier ad. This was non-stop for a month. I would try to use their system to actually talk with someone and I would be dropped. Once I actually got through and complained about the calls. (of course they do not have a record of this). On April 18th 2014 I called using the number that I wrote down originally and talk to a person and reported again about the disturbing calls and that I was displeased that what they have promised hadn’t happened and that I wanted to cancel. I was told no problem. Then to cover everything again I had our office person call to make sure it was canceled on April 25th and she was told no problem. Now April 29th and I see on my debit card that I was charged $240 from Global Media. When I called I am told they have no record of any of this and that I still have an account. . . . ???!!!!! Now I am asking for managers. A Mr James P. calls me back and says that Global Media does make calls like that and it must have been a different Global Media, and that there is no record of me calling and canceling. That their call are all computerized and it would show that they called me or that I called them . . . . I have witnesses that I called . . . and that I have spoken with Global Media since the office personnel shares an area where we can hear each others call. They will not do a refund and that they never harassed us. Karen Davis

Negative Stars Would be better for Global Media!
