I purchased a 19-dollar part from Global Automotive with a "Lifetime Warranty". After only 5 months the part failed, resulting in additional labor to replace it again.
I contacted Global Automotive. They stipulated that I had to include proof of professional installation.
They denied the claim, on the grounds that the part was not professionally installed. I am a retired mechanic with over 40 years of professional experience!
I waited for two weeks and did not hear from them and was told that my claim would been denied only after I contacted them to find out the status.
It showed me that a warranty is only as good as the integrity of a company.
I bought 2 fuel pumps that they claimed were a brand known asairtex. if the were real airtex they would have been marked. Neither worked properly and when I contacted them about a return they refused. I bought these thru EBay and they were no help. They are a bogus rip-off company. Do not by from global automotive. They lie about the brands and won't give refunds. I will go on social media and let every one know not to by from them
I have never experienced or reported anything like this experience in my life. I ordered a fuel pump for my car from eBay, via Global Automotive. I have bought hundreds of items via eBay without issue. Their score seemed pretty good When it arrived I immediately noticed that it was NOT the part number that was advertised so I immediately contacted them. Their customer service lady responded pleasantly with the following assurances that "do not worry, it is directly compatable and if it doesn't work just return it to us". Just over two mos later I also received the fuel pump sender that the pump mounts to and immediately noticed that the new fuel pump that they said was compatible was too short. So, because of their written assurances, as logged in eBay, I contacted Global Automotive and they instantly replied "too late, it has been over 60 days". I was flabergasted. To make it worse, I actually rigged and installed the pump last weekend and it quickly failed. To me it is now obvious, though too late for me but hopefully not you, that this is a thieiving business. In my experience, they did not even hesitate to lie and could care less about you. The hispanic accented lady that answers the phone is cantankerous and very rude - you can tell that defending their thieving business is her life. EBay will give you their phone number if you ask for it nicely as they sympathized, but it was days past their 60-day guarantee. Bottom line, they are a thieving business in my experience and believe they are selling counterfiet parts because the OEM part that they advertised failed almost immediately. I have since purchased a new pump that is working perfectly and have moved on, but am taking this time to post because I would appreciate it if someone had done this for me before I messed up and trusted them in the first place. Live and learn, but I will never buy from this outfit again and neither should you.
