Hearing Impaired man Needing Family Reunion Photographs SCAM
I, too, received a text message from this person who claimed to need family reunion photos. He also wanted to send extra to me for the event planner and all that jazz.
I searched for his email when things started sounding shady, and here I am.
What was scary is that he used a local address for the location of the event, which means this is a real person behind this and not just some kind of bot.
I received a text from this person, asking for my services in photographing a 6-hour event in 2 weeks. He claimed he is hearing impaired and unable to speak on the phone. On hearing my prices and conditions, he indicated he would send his credit card information to me to make the required deposit, but then asked, "regarding the event planner fee which I will be needing as well on my credit card hope you can help me with this as well right."
I had my serious doubts, but when I read this, I did a web search and found that this same name has attempted similar scams. He offered the email address and even a local address in the stream of the conversation. One thing that first created my concern was that certain parts of his message appeared to have been sent repeatedly, as if a real person were not doing it, or something else was wrong.
When I learned that this was offically a scam, I told him not to contact me again.
[email protected] was trying to have me photograph his family reunion for 6 hours on a Thursday. He claimed he was hearing impaired and couldn't talk on the phone, so we communicated through text and emails which didn't make sense most of the time.
He was going to try to have me receive a credit card payment for the deposit and also the fee that he owes to the event planner. Yes, thats right, he was going to try to pay their fee to me because the event planner wouldn't take credit card. He was then going to have me pay the event planner. I don't know anyone who runs a business like that. This is when things seemed reeeeeeaally fishy, so I googled his email and came across this page.
Thanks to anyone who posted on here. I will not be doing business with this person.
He claimed he was hearing impaired so could not call me. Wanted me to train 6 females for 5 weeks and that a private driver will be bringing them for their appointments. Wanted twice a week. I asked to speak with one of them but they were on vacation with "there" uncle and when I asked for the name of the person who referred me he said Lisa I can't remember her last name and said Lisa was traveling to see her "gramma" and wouldn't be back till ending of January. Very odd text grammer and spelling. And so I told him I thought he should start using a new scam because he was already being reported online.
I received a text message from Gilbert Henry stating that he wants me to (fitness) train 6 women in his family. I got a bogus answer as to HOW he got my cell phone number since it's not listed. He said he's hearing impaired and texting is the only way he could communicate with me. He also said he's in the hospital for an operation. He said he couldn't pay by check; it'd have to be by credit card, which I told him I need to verify his identity.
I Googled his name and found that he's using the same lines with other service providers.
I'm not sure where the fraud would've come in - selling my cell phone number or entering credit card info.?
Gilbert Henry Reviews
The following below is a forwarded email thread of the communication I had with this scammer before I realised he was a scammer.
I found a separate website with a complaint report about this "Gilbert Henry" requesting the same information with another Reiki Healer.
The scammer email is :
gilberthenry212 at outlook.com
(replace the at with @ and link everything together)
I was corresponding with him to set up a Reiki healing session for a group.
He kept asking me for my text phone number. Unfortunately, I gave it to him.
But after I found the complaint about him and his email address, I wrote back to tell him it was not a text phone number.
My email responses will not be recorded here as I do not want my information in this report.
But I will explain my responses.

Hearing Impaired man needing a new company website designed
I received an email from this person asking if I would design a website for his new company, and if I accepted credit cards for payments.
Poor grammar, no email signature - a quick Google search and here we are.
