I contracted Georgia Yardworx (Keith Southern) to complete over $40k of landscaping and improvements to my property in May 2012. Our total financial obligation to Georgia Yardworx was “Paid in Full” as of September 2012.
As of January 2013, my multiple requests/demands to have all contracted work completed/finished were ignored. I pursued Legal action, through the Paulding County Magistrate Court, to have a portion of the monies paid refunded to me for the unfinished work.
On June 25, 2013, two Default Judgments were awarded against Georgia Yardworx and Keith Southern as no response was received by the court and no one attended the Default Hearing.
Two different sub-contractors have contacted me regarding non-payment of services by Georgia Yardworx. One was subsequently paid and the other sub-contractor resorted to sending me threatening letters and in October 2013, I had to involve the Paulding Sheriff’s department.
In September 2013, I sent another request to Georgia Yardworx/Keith Southern (then doing business as Envy Home and Garden) to pay the funds owed as stipulated on the Default Judgment(s).
As of June 2014, the default judgment payment has NOT been received and a business license with the State of Georgia and Paulding County were not located on an internet search. I do not want to see any other innocent people being taken advantage of/ripped off by this man or this company. Do NOT do business with Georgia Yardworx or any other company involving Keith D. Southern.
