Poor Service and Price beyond belief for services not requested is what I found here at Gary's Independednt Subaru Service in Eugene OR. I know that everybody that drives a Subaru vehicle needs a honest mechanic and that is why I am writing this review. I personally found Gary's Independent Subaru Service online. I hope this report helps save some people the frustration you can have when you find a mechanic that is dishonest, or charges for services that are not needed, or not requested. That is what happened to me. We brought our car in for a $60 diagnostic. Gary called my wife and got reluctant approval from her after the diagnostic for $750 charge to fix a $45 part and a "recommended tune". She called me immediately afterward and I called to cancel services due to very high price and upsell of services. The total time between calls was 15 minutes. We were billed for alot more time than that! The phone records that prove this were placed right in front of Gary, but "were not something he cared about". He did care about getting his money, he said "no ticky, no car" apparently a clever way to say I will keep your car if you do not pay for services not requested. Of course I asked him to make the bill reasonable but he did not do that. He has pictures of glocks all over his office and a dog named Cletus he named after a relative who was a confedrate captain in the civil war, but felt I was being "aggressive". I thought bringing the subaru to a pro would have helped more than a free check at the auto parts store, but I was wrong. If that is agressive Gary, then yes I am agressive. I think the way you do business is fraud. So I may be a bit agressive about that.
