I was online when I saw an advertisment for a weight loss supplement called Garcinia Cambogia. They claimed they were endorsed by the television programs Good Morning America and The Doctors. They were offering a free 30-day supply. All one had to do was to pay the $4.95 postage. I stupidly ordered the "free" sample.
I didn't like it, so I didn't order more. But then they charged me 79.95 for the "free" bottle! Plus my bank charged me an international fee of $2.40. When I ordered this supplement, there was no mention of my having to pay full price for this "free" bottle if I didn't call back to cancel within 14 days. I would learn about that much later!
When I found the charge on my checking account, I called Simply Pure Nutra to complain because I had not ordered another bottle. Wjem I asked for my money back, the woman I was talking to hung up on me! I called right back but they were suddenly closed.
When I called the next day, the man who answered got upset when he learned I wanted my money back. He would not let me talk. He kept talking and talking about the wonders ofl Garcinia Cambogia. I finally had to shout over him to tell him that I was going to notify my bank of this fraud.
I signed a complaint with my bank and they investigated. I later received a letter from my bank saying that they could do nothing since I had a contract! What contract?!
I called Simply Pure Nutra again today to tell them I wanted my money back, but they said I was past the 30 days when I could have gotten it back!
These people are crooks! They stall you until it's "too late" to get your money back, then they tell you it's too late! They use every trick in the book to rip people off and they should be stopped.
