I’d like to share my awful experience with everyone regarding Game Film Express. 2 of my daughters had a cheer competition back in November, 2014. Both did awesome, they placed 2nd & 3rd and I of course recorded it (like always) but there was a vendor, Game Film Express, that also recorded it. They advertised they were selling the DVD’s for $10/each. I thought was a great way to keep and savor the competition for years to come… so I bought one of each girls cheer squad (total of $20 for the 2 DVD’s). The next night we were so excited to watch them but were very disappointed. They were horrible quality (maybe 240 quality). We couldn’t see their faces in the DVD’s, they were extremely blurry and my own personal cell phone recording was a better quality.
I of course immediately contacted the company hoping to get a resolution or my money back. I contacted Paul Steele of Game Film Express on (11-16-14) told him of my dilemma and on the same day we emailed back & forth a little and he replied with “Im going to be sending you links to the videos you can download, I shoot in 1080 quality on a good camera, However when compressing the files to standard dvd format it can sometimes be degraded. If after watching these you still are unhappy I will gladly refund your money. I apologize for your troubles”. The same day he sent me the links.
The following day (11-17-14) I watched them and they were much better quality. I emailed him back asking him to please burn me a copy with that quality and I wouldn’t require a refund. I didn’t get a reply.
I resent my email on (11-19-14) thinking maybe he didn’t get it. He did reply asking for my address and said “Please send ne your address and I'll get them out to you.” I replied back on the same day with my address.
(12-14-14) I still had not received any DVD’s from Game Film Express. I emailed Paul Steele “I have yet to receive the replacement DVD's you told me over a month you would send. Please send them both immediately or refund me my $20!”. No reply… No DVD’s…
(01-12-15) still no DVD, no email, nothing from them. I emailed him again, hoping he would be a good business person and reply.
(01-19-15) I text him and emailed again, I said “This is the 3rd email I've sent stating that I have not received the replacement DVD's and now no refund either. You seem to be ignoring my emails? This is not a good business practice and this is the last time i'm going to email you. I have now also sent a text hoping someone actually replies to me. If i hear nothing i will be forced to make sure that everyone knows how bad your business practices are. I'm not asking for anything unreasonable and the least you could do is reply to my email. November is when you said you'd send me the replacements, it is now January and nothing and no replies.”
(01-20-15) Since Emails aren’t working anymore I decided to call. On 01-20-15 I called twice. I left a voicemail, not saying who I was, but to please call me about something. And guess what, I get a call back. He said he’s sorry and he’ll send me the DVD’s. I also got a reply from Paul Steele saying “I am putting your dvds in the mail along with a refund of your 20 dollars tomorrow. I apologize for the length of time, and the lack of communication.” OK, fine or so I think…
(02-04-15) guess what… still nothing, so I’m polite hoping they just got lost in the mail and said “It has been 2 weeks since you told me you were putting the 2 DVD's and my $20 refund in the mail. Please send me tracking on where these are because I have yet to receive them.”
(02-05-15) I send another text since I didn’t hear back on the email.
(02-11-15) another text sent and 1 last email attempt to get ahold of this guy before letting everyone know how awful and horrible his business practice is.
(02-22-15) Still nothing which is why I feel I’ve done more than my part to try and get the quality DVD he advertised that I paid for. Please beware of this man and his DVD’s. You will not be able to cherish your child’s memories & are better off recording it yourself with your cell phone.
