From the time AT&t became Frontier I lost all services. Phone calls went straight to sales automated services.
I never spoke to the right department and was disconnected after hours on the phone.I finaly sent an e-mail to cancell, they are still billing me and I have no idea what to do with their useless equipment.
I called Frontier Communications to do a simple service address change and order a modem. The phone call lasted 124 minutes.
A week later, the modem had still not arrived. I called Frontier again and the rep said the modem had been delivered that morning. I asked for a tracking number and it turns out the rep had completely ignored the date and was referring to an item that had shipped 7 months prior.
I asked for the modem to be shipped overnight and for a tracking number. An hour later, I was told the item would be shipped overnight by "UPS Ground" - and had to spend several minutes explaining to the incompetent rep that UPS Ground was not an overnight shipping option.
Finally, I had to contact an executive at the company just to get a modem shipped - 9 days after it had originally been ordered.
On top of all that - Frontier's highest internet tier offered in my area is 3Mbps (which normally ends up being about 1/4th that speed.)
Frontier is a terrible company that will never improve unless there is competition. I hope Google Fiber or a similar service puts this company out of business soon.
Frontier Communcations recently became the new service provider for AT&T home internet customers.
Soon after, red light on my modem, DSL is down. I call up frontier, a recorded message says they're having technical issues and recommend unplugging and plugging back in the power cord to the modem.
I did that 3 times, it didn't help. Then when I press the tech support option, they say please hold and transfer me to a busy signal. So I call back and press the option for billing instead of tech support and magically I can speak to a human being. James in billing says he needs transfer me to tech support to address the connection issue. I insist that he try to help me since I know whats coming. He says he can't and assures me they'll help.
I'm then transferred back to tech support which is.. the busy signal again.
Dear AT&T, please think twice before transferring one of your services to a trashpile of a company.
I signed up with Frontier (internet and phone) instead of Comcast for my new small business because they had a promotion of bundling ADT security with the plan. Boy what a big mistake!!
- Their internet sucks
- I eventually moved to Comcast
- Their ADT promotion is a ripoff and you can get a better deal directly with ADT
- I was unable to cancel my account even though I stopped using Frontier for Internet because of early termination fees.
- I dropped my service to the minimum and kept the account going since it was more expensive to cancel than to pay them monthly (this was 5 months and I have 2 months to go on my contract)
- Since I wanted to keep the phone number I ported the phone number to Vonage
- I called Frontier to get a new dummy number to run out my existing contract
- They refused saying that since the number was ported the early termination automatically kicks in!!
Unbelievable! I have been paying them for 6 months now for not even using their service (except their phone a little) and was just waiting for the contract to run out and now 2 months away and they still charge me the early termination fee. I refuse to pay them and will let it go to collections and will fight them in court.
