Frederick J Hanna & Associates is killing me! I have an old credit card that I had an outstanding balance due of roughly $6200. The account was referred to Frederick J Hanna & Associates and in 2007 I began making monthly payments of $100 on the debt. To date I have paid over $8000 on the debt and STILL have a balance due of $5100. I recently lost my job, and although I am unemployed I have continued to make my monthly payments of $100.
I recently received notice from a potential employer that I was not selected for a vacant position because of the judgment that's on my credit. With this knowledge I reached out to Hanna's office (3 weeks ago) and requested a settlement (I've previously requested a settlement several times to no avail). I figured that I could borrow the money to pay the debt off so that it would not block potential employment opportunities. I called and was told that I could not get a settlement. I then called back and began to ask questions about my account. How long have I been paying? What is my outstanding balance due? What interest rate am I paying? I found out that I'm paying 11% interest DAILY. I requested an itemized history of my account....to date I have not received it. I've called several times requesting to speak with a manager and the managers are never on duty and no one ever calls you back. Even if you leave messages in their voicemails. I need help!! Hanna & Associates is making it difficult for me to survive. I know that I should have paid the account off before a judgment was placed on it, however I have been dutifully paying on the account for the past 7 years and the end is not in site. Meanwhile I am continuing to wait for a call from management and my account is still accruing 11% daily interest...uuugghhh... HELP!!
