The Choice service warranty program is supposed to provide licensed service for my home at 3400 SW 185th Ave in Florida. They market 24 hour response as well. They do not meet their 24 hour service committed to by David Lisboa who sold me the policy.
However, my biggest problem with the service is Choice home warranty service dispatched a scammer/thief to my home to repair the air conditioner. Fred Chen of United Service Systems (they also use United Refrigeration) was sent into my home and he took the original air conditioners (it’s suspect if they needed replacing) and said the service company approved to replace them and they would give me a discount for having the warranty.
I received poor quality, the wrong size air conditioners, no markings or tags to identify air conditioners – (they have been removed by crook) and it is unclear if they are new. Also Choice’s agent hooked up the air conditioners wrong and caused electrical, flooding, structural, foundation damage and reverse flow of the air conditioner coolants. The service company has no record of the air conditioner ticket, invoices and credits provided with the serviceman they dispatched, Fred Chen.
Choice does not want to do anything about this, said it’s my problem – but they sent the crook. I am working with the local sheriff but if there is anything you can do to hold Choice accountable I would appreciate it.
