Florida Bussiness Consulting operates under the guise of non profit marketing. The HR department post purposely deceptive advertisements. Prospective hires work a full 10 hour shift the first day without pay. Employees are paid below minimum wage for 10 to 12 hour shifts ($35 a day.) These deceptive hiring practices and blatant abuse of employees must be stoped.
I just quit my job to join one of these consulting groups, called Global Resources. When I found out it was a scam, I quit. Low and behold as I was looking my next job, these people at Florida Business Consulting called me for an interview. When I heard the Russian accent, I was automatically suspicious, because as intelligent people know, Russians cannot be trusted. Then I checked out their website, and searched the internet, and didn't find anything except for all of their connections with facebook, and linkedIn, and twitter. This was similar to the case with Global Resources, which also seemed to join every online website that it could. I told myself that if it was a salaried position I would be okay, but if it was commissioned-based, it was definitely a scam; however, I forgot to ask that question over the phone. I have an interview with FBC tomorrow, but now since I read this, I won't be going. The first question she asked me was "Are you working?" I figure, at least these guys have the decency to take unemployed suckers instead of idiots like me who quit their job. But the truth is that I had to quit that old job because I was about to be fired anyway. I guess I'll just have to keep searching for a job.
