I have had a Corporate Account for 2 years with Universal Premium. We sold one of our companies and the new owner contacted them by phone with intent to open a new account and continue with the existing cards.
Universal Premium added this person as THE authorized contact on my account and removed me entirely. I was never contacted by phone or in writing to authorize anyone on my account. At this time, new cards have been issued on my corporate account in my Corporate name; not the company that I sold, my name was removed from it, and I still hold the financial responsibility of the account.
I have spoken with three associates at Universal Premium today and spent more than an hour total of my day on hold to do so. I was advised that I needed file a fraud report against the new owner of my former company. He committed no fraud. He has e-mails from them with his corporation name and contact information to set up his own new account.
I am currently locked out of my account on line and financially responsible for a company I no longer own and concerned I am going to lose a large credit I had on my account prior to this happening. I'm concerned this is going to cost me huge financially. We're a mid size company with a fleet of 6 vehicles that all do about 100 miles a day.
I am certain beyond a shadow of a doubt this is a violation of the Patriot Act. My account has been compromised by the company that is supposed to protect it/me.
