When I walked into the place I made it quite clear that I was new to the area and that I was not sure if I was in the right place. I made it very clear that I was not having an emergency. That I was just not feeling well and wanted to see a Dr. The only question I was asked is do you have insurance. After saying yes I was told to come on back to the exam room. Once I got there (without seeing a Dr.) they started a IV and then started a EKG and then blood work. All of the blood work was for a heart attack as well as the EKG. I had no signs of any destress, no incressed heart rate, blood preasure was perfect. So there was no need for the IV, EKG, or blood work except for billing purposes only.
After receiving the bill they had a Level 5 emergency (after making if quite clear at the beginning there was no emergency) charge of over $2250.00. Each one of the blood test was over $200.00. The total was over $5,000.00 for less than 30 minutes, for the Dr. to come in and tell me he though that I was experencing vertigo. This is outragus and a total rip off.
