I rented a car from the Phoenix Firefly. As part of the package I purchased the Fuel Purchase Option, which was to be refunded when the car was returned with a full tank of gas.
I did so. However, billing said they had no record of my gas purchase.
I then faxed them the gas purchase, a cover letter, and relevant information. The transmission was verified that they received it. Upon calling them a week later, they said they did not get it. I had to send it again.
It seems to me that they hope to frustrate customers and keep the $39.48 and just make the customers forget about it. Do not purchase this part of the contract.
I just had a horrible experience with Firefly. We were lied to about how the fuel would be charged upon return and then overcharged. Then we were misinformed about Plate Pass and now are going to be charged more fees. I spoke with several people at the counter and on the phone only to be treated with excuses and bad attitudes. Basically in the end I got the "too bad" answer from all the Firefly employees in regards to my problems. They obviously rather stand behind scammy fine print and horrible emplyees than rectifying a situation and making a customer happy.
I rented a car based on a rate that was very good for the area. The amount was 501.00, but when I returned the vehicle I found out the taxes were $300.00! When I questioned it they said a manager would call me but he never did. I was then charged the amount of $800.00. Very tacky, poor service, never again.
