This company recharges and tests fire extinguishers. They came to our business and said all our fire eqtinguishers were outdated and no good, that we had to replace all 8 with new ones they sold for $80.00 each. The service man redtagged all of them. Which means they failed inspection. All he did was look at them, never tested them under pressure. Each fire extinguisher has an indicator on it to tell you the level of the charge, and all were straight up, in the grees - that they were fully pressurized. We told him we would call them back.
We took ALL the failed fire extinguishers to a local company that was run by a retired firefighter who told us this company had been doing the same thing to everyone up here. He tested the fire eqtinguishers and they all checked out, put green tags (tells the fire marshall the units are OK), on all.
He told us that in 2013 the NFPA Code was changed and that as long as parts are available for servicing extinguishers, and they test OK, they are to be passed, not rejected. And this informatgion was provided to ALL licensed fire extinguisher companies in OK, which this company claims to be.
These people are not to be trusted!
Yesterday they sent a bill, and we will tell them the name of our lawyer.
