Purchased a 2010 Mercedes-Benz through E-Bay online item # 140990564465. I was given and relied on a clean carfax report only to discover later that the car had damage on the right rear door (replaced) as well as the read suspension left upper thrust arm replaced from a severe hit partially T-Bone type accident. Also discovered that the rims were seriously out of round, had to replace them. After complaining to Alex, he said he did'nt know about it, nor did he reveal that this car had been purchase from an auction, Manheim Auto Auction (614-871-2771). I learned the true meaning of let the buyer beware. Through my research i found out that this car had been repaired at Bedford Mercedes-Benz and no carfax report exist on previous damages or repairs. Also discovered there was undercarraige damage. The Carfax report was dated 6/16/13 and i purchased the vehicle 6/18/13. Everyone should be cautious about carfax reports and do your homework. I suspect this car was an insurance job and certain information about it's history was purposely lost so as to fool the buyer. it's unfortunate that i have no recourse.
