"Mega Money sales event" flyer for March 17th-21st. Flyer presents a four prize lotto where the number at the top, 'your number', if matched to one of four numbers below win the corresponding prize. On march 21, i presented a flyer containing a matching, winning, number for the 75$ cash prize to a rep at the showroom. After registering as asked to do, i was told that in order to win , another number, the reservation number as printed on the address portion of the flyer had to match one of the numbers on a board they had displayed in the showroom. I talked with the Rep at length, me insisting i had a winning number and him insisting he was told
the reservation number had to be matched. It appeared to me from what he said he had never read the flyer. When i insisted on seeing the manager another fellow came over who basically spouted the same flim flam about the reservation number and in the course of the conversation related that he was a member of the marketing company responsoble for the sales event and the flyer, rather than a manager for Findlay. Afer some heated conversation it was obvious they were not going to honor the lotto on the flyer so i left.
I wasn't born yesterday and similar promotional flyers arrive in the mail from time to time from any of the dealerships in the area and go right to my trash bin.. Most people i suspect know they are a fraud and ignore them. In this case the lotto was so clear-cut as presented on the flyer, i was curious how they would get out of paying. Bottom line they just change the rules and stone-wall.
