I used fightmyticketca but they lied about their process. They use a boiler template that anyone could use and are quick to talk shit about other sites out there. That should have been my first warning when using them. Then I lost my case and when I completed the testimony form on their website under the reviews page, they of course conveniently didn't post it. They don't have any hidden processing fee, but they also keep all your money, even when you lose and then they recommend you go through their site for traffic school so they can make more money off of you through an affiliate program. By the way, the service sucks! They never answer the phone or call you back after you pay for the services. Save yourself the money and do it yourself!
Fightmyticketca.com uses deceptive advertising practices to bait you in. The owner, David, doesn't even show a legally registered business with the California Secretary of State and furthermore, there is no proper disclosure of their legal document assistant license number on their website or terms, as prescribed to do so by law.
It's important to note, as expressed on their own website in their own words: ""**The service provided by our site/service/staff is not legal advice, but general information on legal issues commonly encountered. FightMyTicketCA is not a law firm and is not a substitute for an attorney or law firm. FightMyTicketCA cannot provide legal advice and can only provide self-help services at your specific direction. FightMyTicketCA is not permitted to engage in the practice of law. We do not draw legal conclusions or apply the law to the facts of your situation. No attorney-client relationship is created by using FightMyTicketCA’s services, and you are representing yourself in any legal matter. If you need legal advice for a specific problem, or if your problem is too complex to be addressed by FightMyTicketCA, you should consult a licensed attorney in your area. Communications between you and FightMyTicketCA are protected by our Privacy Policy, but are not protected by the attorney-client privilege or work product doctrine. Please note that your access to and use of FightMyTicketCA.com is subject to updated additional terms and conditions .**"".
So, if they can't provide legal advice, and only at the direction of an individual can they act upon anything, then why wouldn't I just do it myself or hire a lawyer if I really need advice?! They say they can't draw legal conusions but then their website promotes 'Attorney Approved', which appears deceptive in nature. My attorney friends must feel cheated when non-attorneys try and use this strategy to their own personal gain.
Finally, any business that advertises with a generic address, such as theirs 18000 Studebaker Road, Cerritos, CA 90703, with no business suite, is a red flag!
Do it yourself and save the $99 or hire a lawyer. There's plenty of good ones out there!
I'm sure the State of CA will be interested when I report this 'fake' non-registered company to them this week. Will the real 'David'-shady please stand-up?!
