I recieved a letter informing me that I had been awared prizes that included free airfair and the only requirement was that I come to Atlantic City and listen to a presentation about the time share at flagship fanta Sea resorts. I was told the presentation was only 1/2 hr to 45 minutes. My husband and me were at this presentation together and we both felt traped by them. I told them I was not in the position to do this and that I was trying to restore my credit. This did not seem to matterto them. My husband who is disabled would not able to pay for this either so the payments would be on me but before I knew what happened they had run aline of credit with my husbands name and I know it sounds nieve but after being in the sales persons clutches for over 3 hrs we ended up with a time share. The paper work was a hurry up and sign type experience and durring this time I was told not to contact them for at least 60 days because they would not know who I was. Only after looking into it did I find out that my look at the product and change my mind period was for 1 week so this made sure i would not call and cancel. As I said it was in May of 2014.
the billing trail went like this. first they opened the line of credit in my husbands name with bank of america for the deposit. $2,500.00, them there was a morgage that was being taken from my bank account monthly for $263.00. the first maintenance of $568.00, then within 6 months another bill arrived for another maintenance fee $674.48. I also had to pay two different times to the intervals international ( there affiliate) because if you want to go anyplace besides the flagship in atlantic city you must pay them. I have stoped paying them and am prepared to go to court if needed. the end of this story is that neither myself or my husband have utilized 1 minute of the timeshare and all the money they have taken from us when the year is not even up is a same. shame on The fantaSea flagship resorts and shame on the State of New Jersey for turning a blind eye to this activity.

Let me begin by describing my wife and I: We are both are employed full time, combined income close to $100K per year, we own 2 properties, 2 cars, credit scores over 800, we vacation approximately twice a year and we go to Atlantic City about 5-6 times a year. Anyone would think that we are fairly good candidates for a program like this, that is everyone except a sales representative named Mr. Jenkins.
First, I had to take off of work and we had to arrange a sitter for our son. Then we had to drive almost 4 -hours in the pouring rain from New York to Atlantic City. Having to do all of that, we still managed to make it to the presentation early.
When we arrived, we filled-out some forms and were then greeted by Mr. Jenkins who took us to his desk. We had some small talk for 2 minutes when Mr. Jenkins turned to me and said, “You don’t look like you want to be here.” I was a little taken aback by the tone. I told him that it was a rough trip. I told him that we are here giving him our time and we wanted to listen to his presentation.
He became quite upset. He then said, “Look, I’ve been doing this for 14 years, no-one is gonna tell me how to do my presentation.” I told him that I wasn’t telling him how to do his presentation; just that it was a long trip and we just wanted to hear the presentation. He became even more upset and said in a loud tone for others around us to hear, “Like I said, no-one tells me how to do my presentation, you don’t like it? There’s the door.” And he pointed to the back door directing us to leave.
I cannot begin to describe how insulted and intimidated we felt. We looked at each other and just got up and walked out. When we got to the car, my wife was in tears. We had never been so embarrassed in our entire lives. So, a day of lost wages, a sitter, gas, tolls and 8 hours of nerve racking driving and we get embarrassed and thrown-out of a presentation.
Then I got a phone call from the Vice President of the Company (Mr. Able). Would you believe that instead of just trying to make it right with us, he actually tried to pitch us again?
Do yourself a huge favor...listen to me...do yourself a huge favor; unless you enjoy being abused, don't, under any circumstance buy anything from these a**holes and don't stay in any of there properties.
