I purchased an above the ground pool, about two years as of this writing.
Instillation was awful, the installer did not want to get the sand we paid for, that goes under. We were assured the filling of the pool would be "babysat", to make sure there were no problems, which it wasn't, after seeing all the creases and lumps in the floor of my pool, plus the fact the stairs they assembled was literally falling apart, I was urged to call and rectify this matter by my family, being naieve, I didn't. Now the liner has developed holes, where a support rib, is protruding into the pool, I finally decided to talk to the company.
Keep in mind I was told this liner had a fifteen year warranty, and have a contract saying so. They wanted to take no responsibility, saying that they had a whole new crew since then, and the guy before had been doing pools for fifteen years. That's funny since he had told us he was an excavator, and had never done a pool before. They basically blew me off when I went in to talk to them, the blond haired woman I dealt with was rude, but she had been when I went in to buy chemicals before. Wanting to take no responsability , they basically told me somebody from the installer would call, to get me out of their. When I got home I told my mother what had happened, she decided to call, because we both felt I got the brush off
These wonderful people told my disabled mother we could buy another liner at cost, and install it ourselves. Needless to say we don't have the money for another liner, when the current one should be under warranty, and live in a household where two of the three residents are disabled, so we could not install it ourselves anyway. While I write this,water is slowly trickling out of a six thousand dollar money pit in my ward.
