The Rx store is a small town store that I had always liked I had lived next door to the old owners daughter and got to know then all well there. I had moved and stayed with the store due to the great treatment I had received there in times when Medicare had some mistakes and they kept me in my medication until things were straightened out, Unlike any big chain store would do.
Upon getting my January Meds refilled I had my mother pick them up for me as I had a very bad cold and she was driving right past there. She had came home with the bag I could not get all that I needed due to not being able to pay the co pay this month as the co pay had tripled this year over past years and i am on disability. I untied the bag they had sent it tied up with each bottle bagged and a receipt on each bag. I noticed the one bottle was a smaller bottle then I use to get before the Dr. changed the prescription this month and I was taking more then before. I thought why is the bottle smaller? So I counted the pills and it was 20 pills short. This was not surprising when I asked my mother who was working she said who the girl was and I said oh no she shorts me on these pills all the time.
I had to wait to call the Pharmacy until the next day as it was a Saturday and they close early. When I called the girl that filled them talked to me and was very rude to me telling me that its too bad she had a picture of her filling my pills. She told me she filled them herself and stapled the bag and would not let anyone touch them due to being accused so much of shorting people. I said well what am I to do then just go without and she stated she did not care what I did She was NOT giving me any more pills she was tired of giving me pills. I stated that the only time I was ever short were the times when she was working and even when they marked the bottle they owed me pills they did not put the right amount in the bottle when I went back to pick up the "owed" ones that she had filled.
I use to take a smaller does of the same medication and almost always was several pills sort on those when she filled them but I never complained due to the fact that I had a hard time taking keeping up on taking that pill I would miss it a lot of the time and so I always would have a few left over so it did not matter to me. I never really thought about someone was stealing them.
The first time I seen this Pharmacist was when the old owner of the store was there and the store was very busy that day I had brought in a new prescription for a pill from my psychiatrist, She told me I would have to get it filled next month that she had already filled my pills for the month. I was talking to the owner right before that so I went back to him and told him what she said. He said no way and told her to fill it she got mad and said that she had just got done filling my other one... I stood there and watched her tear the label off the old pills and print out a new label and put it right on the same bottle never changing the pills. So I am figuring she probably took the higher does pills for herself also and sold those also.
The new owner stated to me that she passes her drug tests so he did not feel she was taking any pills. I said well she could be selling them I did not know but I do know that mine were short way too many times. Many times I did not even say anything due to having enough from missing doses that I did not care..
My Insurance paid for a full prescription and I don't feel I should be the one to suffer with diabetic neuropathy so bad I cannot stand it for days since I am missing 20 pills. The pills are 100mg. Lyrica and I have no way to replace what she has taken I have to deal with horrific pain now Only someone that has this type of pain will understand what it will be like to go days without the pills. This is a weeks worth of unreal pain I will have to deal with now.
I need help to have this corrected but don't know where to turn right now.
