I was approached by a young lady on 4/19/14 claiming to be raising money for school to go on an overseas educational trip. I asked her what school and she provided me with what I know now is a fake name "Clearmont Central College in VA'. I paid for a subscription thinking I was helping out a college student. However in the end she said somthing that tipped me off, she claimed to be 24 and on her second degree. It seemed fishy to me, so I asked for my check back until I could look up her company. She ran from me, and I ended up calling the police and giving them all the information including a copy of the reciept. I have tried 7 times over the last 2 days to get intouch with the company, but the number provided on the reciept(#172825) is fake (678-941-3486), the real number is (706-331-4414). Again I've called 7 times, and all I get is a voicemail to a cell phone, that has a full mailbox. I want t refund now!!!
Lucily my husband is a bail bondsmen and knows people in law enforcement. Next I will be calling the BBB, and the FTC to file claims as well. I hope they track the owners down and bring them into court.
I think I just got scammed by 2 boys selling magazines on 8-8-2014. They said they were going to go to college and were doing this as a was to communicate with people and to earn points for a trip to Italy. They said they were selling them for YAC. I chose to have the magazine sent to Andreas closet. So I will have no proof the magazing will be sent there. After they left I looked the company up on the internet. I tried the phone number on the reciept 678-941-3486. The recording said it was a totally different number 706-508-9768. The number above in a different review 706-331-4414 was disconnected. I got an text from 706-508-9768 saying "I am in a meeting". I tried this number several times after the text and all I get is a recording. I rode around trying to find the kids to get my check back but could not find them. I am going to send a copy of the reciept to the address on the reciept to see if they will refund my money. If not I will contact the BBB and the FTC to file a claim. I do not like the reviews written on this company.
In august 2014 i ordered a two year subscription trying to help out a young man/boy. While $67.00 will not break me it is hard earned money earned legally and legitimately. I am to trusting. I hope whoever is sending out and teaching these young people to rip others off gets caught.
This company F.U.L.K. uses innocent looking young men and women under the guise of going to college and hoping to go on a trip to Europe. I am on a fixed income but gave generously to help these girls post a stake in their future. I have never been so humiliated or deceived. I have learned a good lesson here. They all will get their come-uppance.
