I am filing this complaint against Browne and Associates on June 2, 2015 due to the fact they
have broken the contract we signed. On March 26 2015 my husband signed a contract with
Browne and Associates. On March 30, 2015 my husband wrote them check in the amount of
$2941.00 for oak flooring.
They were supposed to deliver the flooring within 4 weeks of cashing
the check according to the contract. The check was cashed on April 6, 2015. On April 25 my
husband wrote an email inquring about the wood, Mr. Browne responding by stating he was
milling the wood the next week. On May 11, 2015 we still had not received the wood and 4
weeks had come and gone.
I wrote an email stating we were still waiting for the wood. My
husband kept emailing Mr. Browne to know avail. I checked the Better Business Bureau
regarding the company and I saw one complaint about the amount of time it took for the wood to
arrive and another one concerning the quality.
My husband emailed Mr. Browne with the information I had just found and asked for assurance the wood would arrive soon and it wouldbe of good quality. On May 13, 2015 I wrote an email stating that I wanted the money back
because the contract had been broken. On May 14, 2015, my husband still hopeful the contact
would be fulfilled wrote an email to Mr. Browne apologizing for my email and stating he wanted
the wood and he wanted it soon.
That same day Mr. Browne wrote back stating he had been in
business for 16 years. It did not mention when we would get the wood, or the money. On May
2, 2015 I wrote an email stating that he had a week to let us know the date that the wood would arrive.
Otherwise I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. It has been ten
He has not responded to the Better Business Bureau complaint, nor have we recieied either the wood or the money.
