I visited Eskenazi Hospital twice in two days in March 2014. These clowns were given a MDWise account no.
I received no bill from them and MDWise acknowledged payment to Eskenazi Hospital. The two times they did send a bill. It was to an address. Which I have not lived at in 35 years. I suspect they were running credit bureau reports without my permission. It took them 4 months to bill me initially plus send it to a debt collector NPAS Inc.
They turn around and bill me for a small copay. MDwise pays the complete bill with no deductible or copay.
I called Eskenazi and get the run around and no answers. I call NPAS. I get someone with a nasty attitude and she told me that I needed to provide my name and account no. It was not needed. I wanted some general questions answered.
I got tired of the merry go around and filed a complaint. Be smart if they give you the run around. file a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General Consumer Protection Bureau.
I am passing the word out there about this hospital and the nasty tactics they use.
I am on the verge of talking with a NACPA lawyer. Perhaps the fact that they gave my social security No. to an outside company without my persmission and violating medical privacy laws may be grounds for filing suit.
I am going to find myself new medical providers. Eskenazi lost my business. I will have my medical records transferred.
