I have had the same issues with this so called lady Jess Brooks who is a scam artist who robs her customers without a gun. I had to dispute this transaction with my bank and am in the process of filing a report with the BBB as well. The worst part is my resulting distaste for independently owned small black businesses. Before I jump to support "my people" again, I will recall my encounter with Jess Brooks the dirty crook!
How do I go about filing a report with the BBB she has to be stopped!!
I am experiencing the exact same thing! Placed my order close to 3 months ago,sent numerous emails no response? Have you guys had any luck thus far?
Also, I do know that you can make a claim on the FBI site and just make sure that you have your e-mails...I support you a 100% in this because she stole from me. Taking Advantage is not okay!! I'm disgusted its almost like she deals with her old customers but if that was the case she should have just dealt with them and not take from "new people". If you find out more please let me know because I would like to take my steps and follow you and shut her down for business....ugh!
I placed an order from Ella,s Concoctions almost eight weeks ago.I learned about her products on Instagram. I decided to give them a try and especially because it was a black women trying to start a brand for herself. I love to support black owned businesses and have done so. I never thought that I would have got ripped off since I have ordered natural care oroducts from various businesses on Instagram. I have ordered from Simplicity hair oil and always received my products within a timely manner. I have sent numerous emails asking her for a shipping confirmation and tracking number. Still to this day I have not gotten any response. I waited patiently and waited but she does not respond to my emails. Im never rude or harsh when sending her my email...Im actually begging her to give me an update. She still will not respond. So Ivdecided to reach out to her on Instagram although I do see she states that she does not respond to customer via social media but I could not contact her by email because she would not respond.
Upon trying to contact her on Instagram I noticed she blocked me. I was shocked because I never comment on her page except the time when I was inquiring about purchasing her products and asking her question about them. She responded to those comments right away and seemed like a very creditible person. Until she got my money. I believed I was blocked on Instagram because she knew that she was ignoring my emails and that more than likely that I would try and contact her via social media.She wlsondoes not want other perspective customers to see those comments from other people who have never received produts that they paid for. I have seen other women comments on Instagram saying they received her products and love them so I am thinking too myself why would she not send me my products ,a shipping confirmation, and not respond too any of my emails. I was totally disgusted because I am an working women with children who live from check to check.
I spoke with a close friend of mine asking for advice on how to get my money bsck and why did Jess Brooks treat me this way. She told me to contact the Better Business Bureau,rip off report, and file a small claims case...which I am in the process of doing. She also told me what this lady is doing is something like a ponzi scheme... she takes others money by having them order products that she never intends to ship then there are some customers who really receives their products so that makes it looks like she is running a legitmate business. I would like to know are their other victims out there who has been ripped off by Ellas's Conconctions? Also is there anyone who can offer me more legal advice on how to get my money back? I am a child of the most high God and I am truly telling the truth about what this woman has done to me. I just do not want others to get ripped off by this woman. Beware because you are taking a chance when buying her products. I do believe some people get thier products and others dont. Its a fifty -fifty chance.

I ordered the Holy Grail oil from Ellas Concoctions on September 29, 2014 after following her on instagram for months. In October 2014 I received an email saying that her orders were delayed and that my order would ship by October 31, 2014. Here it is December 2014 and I haven't received an email, my money or the product. What Jess doesn't know is that I work for a government agency that prosecutes Fraudsters like her so keep it up....you will be prosecuted for being a fraud. Ladies save your money, she is a scam. I have contacted her three times without a singel response.
I ordered from Jess Brooks on June 10th 2014 and up until today, I still have zero product. I've gotten numerous emails about the product being here the end of this month, then the end of this month, and the last email was in October saying I would get the product by October ending. Replied the email and there was no response. She may be too small of a company to start a class action but she absolutely needs to be stopped. I asked her how did she manage to post pictures every day of her "body butters" and "holy grail" oil but I cant get my order from months ago, and she got offended and blocked me on IG too. Like I don't play with my money. I only spent $55 with her but that's a lot when it just disappears into thin air.
I ordered from Ella's Concoctions in early September. I received an email on October 11th stating the owner Jess Brooks was having personal and supplier issues and my orders would be shipped by the end of October. I never received any type of shipping conformation or tracking number. I then received an email on November 6th that stated orders were being shipped slowly and if I didn't received a shipping conformation than my order had not been shipped. At this point I reached out or at least tried to reach out via email, only to be told the email addresses I tried were not valid. The only email that actually went through was the gmail account. I have sent at least six emails and have messaged the company on Facebook and still no response. I understand the company may be having problems but to not respond to your customers nor refund the money is unprofessional and unethical. DO NOT order from Ella's Concoctions.
I finally received a refund on the items I ordered in early September on January 29th. I never received an email from Jess Brooks. I was checking by bank statement and discovered the refund. I am very happy to receive my money back but would never place an order again. The website for the business is down but she is still telling people to place orders by emailing her the order at the gmail account. If you are able to make the products why did you not send out all of the pending orders? Order at your own risk.
I read though alot of the different complaints and the ones who have gotten product but unfortunately I am on the complaining end. I ordered $71.00 worth of product in August and I never received a tracking number or anything. I was able to get a few emails from Jess Brooks stating that her supplier was moving and she couldn't get the materials that she needed to make her butters and so forth. I got an email at towards the end of October stating that all of the back orders including mines would be shipped out by the end of October. Well its November 11th and still no tracking number. I have been nothing but kind when emailing this lady so I don't know what could have happened and right before writing up this complaint I tried to email her again and I got a message saying that the email address that I been emailing her at all this time "doesn't exist". I was really looking forward to getting those products but it looks like I just got taken for my money.
