Egumball contacted me and promised to get the highest Google listing and a prime listing on Google maps. Originally they called me and sounded very convincing. Unfortunately I agreed to give them a trial and agreed to pay $398 to start. I also gave them my credit card.
But no new client EVER called my business and it was never listed even with simple and obvious key words. But they continued to charge my card, which I had to change. Now they sent me a letter from "Nationwide Recovery Systems, LDT" to collect the remaining $1194. for the yearly contract, which I do not remember ever signing.
This company is obviously a pure scam. Stay away as far as you can!!!
This company leads customers to believe they are affiliated with Google. After 3 months of service, we started getting calls from other companies trying to sell us things we don’t need, my business did not benefit from contracting their services.
When I called to cancel the account, they were trying to persuade me to keep their services by telling me that my business would be at the top of the competition on the Google search and other search engines.
I informed the e-gumball representative that they are 45 + dental offices just in my building and asked “what happens if an office in my area (my competition) is your client too, who gets to be at the top of the Google search?” His reply was “that was up to Google’s criteria”
I asked him “aren’t you part of Google?” representative replied "we do the maps for Google" I asked again "are you or are you not affiliated with Google" his reply was the same again.
I wonder if Google is aware that e-gumball lead people to believe that they are affiliated with Google. Long story short, I had to pay an early termination fee for a service and promises that were not delivered.
They offered me a settlement of 60% off my early termination fee of $1,764.00 with an ultimatum to pay by today 05/22/2015 or risk being sent to collections. I feels like extortion.
