Not so fast with the Dylan’s fairy tale stories of everybody is a “HAPPY” customer. While they may be the “#1 or #2” RV dealer in NJ and are selling multiple RV’s you will have to check your expectations of customer service at the door. They are very focused on selling, but after the sale, the customer service is the worst I have experienced. Once they get your money, the tables turn quickly. From June 28th to Sept 1st, we only had our BRAND NEW RV for 8 days.
I purchased a brand new 2013 coachmen 36 foot class a encounter from dylan's rv in sewell new jersey. From the first day i picked it up..No..Problems... Lights, windshield wiper stripped, generator would stay running, as well as d table top, carpet..Seat not many other issues.
I took the coach back a week later with a list of 20 or more things repair. I was told the generator was repaired only to have it do the same thing while on a trip and not stay running. For many of the other problems they kept telling me they ordered parts for. They replaced a torn weatherstrip seal on a slideout with the wrong seal resulting in chaffing the paint badly. Four colors of the paint were damaged the length of the slide out.I am very happy now
My cousin bought a motorhome from dylans just the other day. While we were there we worked with salesman jim. The moment we walked in the shop, we were greated and felt very welcome. Being a first time buyer, she wasnt sure what she was looking for. Jim took the time to answer all of her questions not once did he make us feel rushed or that we were wasting his time. Rachel the finance manager was also very imformative and helped complete the process. When we arrived on delivery day (on the coldest day of the year) we noticed the guys really working hard to make sure the coach was clean and detailed. We have nothing bad to say not about the team or the coach. We apploud the entire team at Dylans. I will be back when i am ready to purchase me motorhome!
I Purchased a brand new 2013 Coachmen 36 Foot Class A Encounter from Dylan's RV in Sewell New Jersey. From the first day I picked it up....problems...No brake lights, windshield wiper stripped, Generator would not stay running, as well as damaged table top, damaged carpet..torn seat and many other issues.
I took the coach back a week later with a list of 20 or more things needing repair. I was told the generator was repaired only to have it do the same thing while on a trip and not stay running. For many of the other problems they kept telling me they ordered parts for. They replaced a torn weatherstrip seal on a slideout with the wrong seal resulting in chaffing the paint badly. Four colors of the paint were damaged the length of the slide out.
They then started blaming Coachmen for not getting the parts delivered, yet no Pre Delivery Inspection had ever been done by them or most if not all of these issues would have never happened.. Headlight was broken in the housing and aiming to the ground, No grease in the front suspension, large swirl marks like crop circles all down the side from a buffer being held in one place, broken screws in support brackets under the hood....side view electric mirror not working...A/C hose not connected on back of dash.
I live 22 miles away from the dealer and each time I took it there I had to pay fuel and toll not only for me but for whoever would follow me over or bring me back. When the generator kept failing they made ME take the whole coach to the ONAN dealer that was over 40 miles from my home. It took two more visits to the ONAN dealer to get that straightened out.
For 14 months I tried being patient. They would have my coach for a month at a time. I took it to them at least 5-6 times only to get it back with either nothing fixed or maybe one or two things taken care of. At one time they damaged my bedroom cabinet taking out and replacing a defective TV with one that was actually a little smaller. They "repaired" my cherry cabinet by putting another strip of wood over the damaged one instead of fixing it right.
They never did repair my damaged paint from the improper seal they replaced and kept saying they were going to have Coachmen cover it, yet Coachmen refused to do so because Dylan's put the wrong seal in place of the torn one.
I sat down with the owner and service and sales managers and threatened to file Lemon Law against them and they said that wasnt covered by lemon Laws but assured me they would fix everything that had remained broken for the past 10 months. I was assured it would be fixed in a couple weeks. It never really was.
I kept asking them to buy it back and I would look at another coach but they turned me down buying it back. The agreed to put it on consignment for me but they priced it higher than brand new 2014 units so no customers ever looked at it to buy it. This went on for three months or more.
When I went to take it home becaiuse I was leaving for a vacation trip the next day...I did a walk around prior to leaving the lot. the sidewall on my rear tire was gashed open with fresh concrete dust around the damage from where it appeared they had struck one of the concrete islands on their lot.
The service manager looked at it and photographed it and said he would look into it. When I called a few days later he had been in a cycle accident and was out of work for the next 8 weeks...so I spoke with sales manager "Scott" and substitute service manager "Dave". I was told by "Scott"..."Things happen...we arent fixing it ...turn it into your insurance company".... The sales manager said he thought it best "we part ways" because "I could not be satisfied".....REALLY?
At this point it has been 14 months and 90% of the items from day one were still not corrected. I requested to speak to the owner Steve... He finally returned my call and said he was not going to replace the damaged tire. I have had it with Dylan's RV... Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. They have had 4 complaints with the BBB in the past year. Dylan's is NOT an accreditted business with BBB. Read the feedbacks on their facebook page from other disgusted customers that have had bad experiences with them.
