I live in a appartment building and approximately two months ago 20+ tenants received gas electric stoves. Out of the people that received stoves I am the only one that got a stove with a oven that does not cook properly.
I could put a piece of chicken in and after 1 hour 15 minutes the chicken would be done on the outside but raw on the inside and the oven would make a banging noise. So I called to report the problem.
Our maintence man came and adjusted the tray and I was good to go....not
The oven continued to not work and bang
Contacted Dunmore appliance and they sent their guy to fix it. He adjusted the tray and said your good to go. not again
Problem continued made the call again.
Dunmore Appliance came out and this time turned the oven on and waited for the bang noise.
He concluded the bottom tray was flexing causing the oven to cook unevenly and that is what is making the banging noise.
And let me tell you that the bang was not a whiper but a bang where I would actually jump.
He told me he had to order the part and it would take about 2 weeks.
Two weeks go by and I didnt hear back so I called and was told the part is on national backorder.
Really? What does that say for the stoves. Still I am the only one that is having this issue.
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I dont have a oven to make my turkey. Called again and was told to contact my manager Contacted my manager and was told to contact maintence. Which I did.
The problem maintence is not the one responsible for the stoves Dunmore Appliance is and they are just satisfied shoving the problem on other people.
So here I sit wih a stove with a non working oven cause Dunmore Appliance wont stand by their product like their website states.
