This is the biggest mistake we have ever made. The sales guy is great at selling but would not provide the names of anyone who would recommend their prouct. I'm guessing it's because they hate the product as much as we do. The quality of this product is the worst. We have had problems with it from the get go. Several things have gone wrong with it in the first year. We are now four months into our second year of ownership and even more things have gone wrong; even a crack they fixed under warranty is back but they will not pay for the labor. Now there are leaks under the swimspa that you cannot acces because they have insulated everything in a foam that hardens. I would never recommend this to anyone even my worst enemy. The labor is extremely expensive and the labor warranty goes away after 6 months so guess when everything really starts to fall apart? After 6 months. Run as fast as you can a way from any Dr Wellness, Rec Direct or LPI product. It isn't worth your time, frustration or money!!!!!
Dr. Wellness, with the salt option, is the worst decision we have ever made. We disconnected the salt option after 3 months when we both lost all of the hair on our bodies and had to go to a dermatologist for a rash. NOONE can tell you how to take care of a salt tub, for every question, there is a different answer, even if it is the same question. The warranty only covers labor for 6 months, and ofcourse everything started going at 6 months and a day. We had to replace the brain after 6 months. We had to replace our heater after 6 1/2 months, then the gaskets went bad after 11 months and it was leaking, then the heater itself started leaking and we were told it was a defect and they sent us a new one. Now the 3rd one is leaking and they are sending a new one, same reason given. The three floor jets have popped out and left many bearings on the bottom of the tub, we have not found them all. They sent us replacements and those have popped out. We have had to call for replacements of 2 headrests because they came unattached. We have to "prime" pump #2 every time we drain the tub which means 12 screw out of the cheap plastic siding and 12 screws back in, and it chips easily. The ozonator is leaking and needs to be replaced. the 3rd heater started leaking while we were waiting for the ozonator. This tub is 18 months old!
I bought this for the price, cheap, and it was American made, reviews were good. don't make the same mistake, buy elsewhere, any where else!
How many new hot tubs does it take before you get a good one??? I got my first hot tub from Dr Wellness in first week in June, when we got tub home the first thing we noticed was that there was good size crack in one of the panels, the next problem was after we filled tub and started going threw self test, we each jet came on it shoot out a big glob of black mold , every jet that came on had black glob was black Mold, now that the tub was filked with black mold all over the tub, and called the factory and asked them why there would be mold in pipes and
they told me they run every tub before selling and must not drain them all the way and leave water pump and lines under tub while tub sits in warehouse waiting to be shipped and sometimes sits for months, what do they expect what is going to happen , mold starts to grow, maybe the Health Department needs to pay them a visit, and pull a few tubs that have been sitting in that dark hot humid warehouse, not safe for consumer, they then told me to go and get some pool shock and circulate it for awhile, I was stupid enough to go and do it, after I
got back, I put shock in tub and press pump and it would not work at all, so now we have cracked panel mold in lines jets pump and filter, and now cannot even circulate water, what a joke, after multiple phone calls they deceided to make me another tub, after waiting couple of weeks, tub arrived at house on 7-3 and it was much lighter finish then the tub I picked out , not happy with that, then they played with old tub for about 45 minutes, with no progress, then we set up so called new tub, to find out it would not even light control head, so as of now I am two for two!!! All im asking for is a tub that works, I only paid for the tub a month ago and still have not used!!!
