I started seeing Dr. G for his suboxone program which is used to treat opiate addiction. Dr. G himself is a very kind man, his fault is that he trusts someone totally unqualified to run his office and she has completely taken over his practice in many ways, even though she has absolutely no degree, in anything, not even a CNA.
Kelly fancies herself a doctor and even though Dr. G's office was in my neighborhood she would insist on scheduling my monthly visits with her over the phone. When I expressed interest in tapering off of the suboxone she told me that i needed to be do more cardio and that was the way to taper off. Who has 3 hours a day to work out? I certainly don't.
Kelly often gave me attitude and any time I stood up to her she would mess with my medications. After getting into an argument with her (over my cardio of course) she then dropped my prescription from 90 a month to 60 a month without even discussing it with me, or Dr. G. I find it a little suspicious that this woman (who let me remind you has ZERO qualifications, she is a recovering addict just like myself, in fact I am more qualified than she is because I am in nursing school) can just mess with patient's prescriptions depending on her mood.
I decided to stop seeing Dr. G because A: I was never actually seeing him. He moved overseas and was not even in the country and I was having to deal with Kelly every month. And B: I would get such anxiety over my phone visits because I never knew what kind of mood Kelly was going to be in. So I just decided at that time to use the rest of my month's medication and taper off, which I told both Dr. G and Kelly in an email. Well apparently controlling Kelly did not appreciate me calling the shots, because she then hurried and called the pharmacy to cancel my remaining medication. This non certified employee of Dr. G's, who obviously was given way too much power, not only messed around with a patient's medication that they depend on, but by doing that she messed around with my sobriety as well. I had to scramble and enroll in another suboxone program which has been 100 percent professional at all times. I am very glad I switched. Do not be fooled by this shady program, you will not be dealing with a real doctor you will be dealing with a vindictive pretender who likes to show exactly who is boss by messing with your medication and sobriety!
