I had a surgery performed Oct 20, 2014 at Arlington Memorial Hospital. My surgeon recommended I receive treatment from infectious disease doctor because I had infection in my bloodstream. Dr. Elleni Woldesenbet ordered a PICC line in my arm and approximately 2 weeks into the treatment she requested I be seen by a different infectious disease doctor.
The referred doctor refused to treat me and I still had a PICC line in my arm. The pharmacy that was providing the infusion antibiotic contacted me and stated I needed to get another doctor immediately or they couldn't send any additional antibiotics.
Then I received a call from the pharmacy stating that Dr. Woldesenbet said she would continue treatment. Then three days later, I received a call from her office stating that refused treatment again. I had to visit the ER due to the PICC line began gushing out blood and the ER doc couldn't get her to call him back. He recommended to remove the PICC line due to her refusal of treatment and poor medical management of her.
Two weeks later, she went back to her Primary Care complaining of pain the arm. The PCM ordered an ultrasound and found a DVT (Blood Clot). Now we are in the ER and she will be admitted over Thanksgiving holiday due to this doctor's medical malpractice. Don't Go to this doc, unless you want to lose your arm, stroke or die.
