Tries to hire women as nannies - is looking for sex - claims he lives with his wife in South Florida and has a 4 year old - can anyone prove that? Jackie
Dr.David Light hired me to write some website content for his company 4th Dimension Art, and re-write a couple of business letters. We spoke on May 15th and he wanted all the work completed by Saturday. I re-arranged my schedule to accomodate this client and did as asked. Originally I spoke with his secretary and I said I'd make a deal on the price if he paid me everything up front. I also said I'd have everything completed by Saturday May 17th if I was paid up front. This is not unusual in the freelance writing business...I'm usually paid upfront 100% before I begin writing. Dr. David Light did not agree and was only willing to pay half up front. I didn't receive the full amount because he did not pay the PayPal fee as he said he would.
I agreed to "his" terms because he stated he would pay the balance as soon as I completed the work. Six days have passed and the client refuses to pay what is owed.
He came back saying he wanted revisions. It took 5 days for me to get all the information needed to make the revisions. I completed the revisions last night May 21, 2014 and I still haven't been paid.
My mistake: I should have had this person sign a contract and I should have insisted on 100% payment up front.
To the client: If you could have written this yourself you wouldn't have hired me...pay up!
It gets worse...the client behaved unprofessionally by sending me a text that read: Pls don't give me this"have a nice day" u are a PITA ( defined as...pain in the ass) good luck! I had chosen to still ask for the money owed me and ended on a good note saying, "have a good day".
No writer should have to go through what I am experiencing at this moment. I am trying to support my family on what little I earn. I work hard to give a client what he wants, and I do not deserve to be jerked around like this.
Dr. David Light....there is no "light" ( pardon the pun) at the end of this tunnel so do the right thing and pay what you owe. I will be waiting for the amount of $113.49
Right now your reputation is at stake and the reputation of your company as well. All you had to do was pay the money owed and all of this could have been avoided.
This man posted a Nanny Wanted Ad on Craigslist 2/16/15, claiming he has a 4 year old and lives with his wife in LBTS, FL. Can anyone prove that? I think he is looking for women. I responded to his Ad, and it took him some days to reply, but he put that 917 phone number on his email to me. I called him as many people do keep their old cell numbers, and he sounded very convincing, although when he heard I was 47 he hesitated, as he was more interested in my looks from a photo I sent and said I looked in my 20's, got a strange feeling there, and said he would speak to his wife and let me know what she thought about my babysitting pay expectations. Never met him, but when I got home, I tried finding him on Facebook, only a guy in NA, no children, googled the number, and was sent to a scam report. Where does this man live, anyone really know?? New York??
