This company solicited our company to build some oil field surface equipment. After a lengthy process of bidding the equipment and specifications, they accepted the order on the condition that deadlines were to be met. During the process of defining the project parameters and shipment requirements, DOS oil field services would become increasingly difficult to make regular phone contact. They set up a meeting to come to our company to meet with our principals to review equipment status. On two occasions, the appointment was never filled, they did not show up. They then asked that were pre-pay nearly $300,000 to secure the equipment, which we refused. They then agreed to continue with the contract. As the deadline approached, it became apparent that this company never intened to make this equipment, nor did they have a domestic mfg. plant. All the while, they ere trying to get our company to pre-pay for the equipment in what I consider a to be a fraudulent business practice.
