Our company attempted to use Don's John's for our company picnic. Two spot-a-pots cost $375, but because our picnic was on a weekend, they charged us after hour delivery and pick up, which was an additional $350, making the total $747.50.
Prior to the event, I faxed over (twice) a colored map of the park where we were having the picnic, as well as circled two specific areas where the spot-a-pots could be placed. Our event was to be held at 11 am.
The day of the event, I had a missed call at 7:30 am from Don's John's, but when I called back I only reached a voicemail. Apparently, they did not give their dirvers either of the maps I sent (even though we also talked on the phone so I could precisely give them directions where to put them). The driver just placed the spot-a-pots wherever he felt like it (I never saw them, and never heard back on where they actually put them, if anywhere at all).
When I called at 11 am, I again, reached a voicemail. So in short, we never got the spot-a-pots. I requested a refund and explained to them why. They agreed to only refund $375, which was the cost of the spot-a-pots but not the delivery charges. They said I should have called their emergency line.
To me, an emergency is something like - someone was murdered in the spot-a-pot, someone fainted and fell inside the hole from the stench, a spot-a-pot fell over with someone inside of it, etc.
They never refunded the whole amount that we paid. I will never use this company again, and I suggest that no one else uses them either. RIPOFF!!!!
